Town and Country Vets are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team across three fantastic locations in Blackburn, Clayton-le-Moors, and Whalley.
At Town and Country Vets, we prioritise preventative healthcare and case continuity, which enables you to build strong, lasting relationships with both clients and patients. The positive feedback we receive from clients on Google is a testament to the effectiveness of our approach.
As part of the team, your duties will include general nursing tasks, conducting nurse clinics, monitoring anesthesia, assisting veterinarians, maintaining and caring for equipment, managing stock control, and occasionally providing support at reception.
Town and Country Veterinary Group is based in Lancashire within easy reach of Manchester and Liverpool. We are a well-established practice with 3 branches. Our practices are well equipped with all the normal toys that you'd expect. At both Blackburn and Clayton-Le-Moors we possess digital x-ray, a separate theatre and prep area, surgical electrocautery, multi-parameter monitor, haematology and biochemistry in house, a modern laptop ultrasound machine based out of Blackburn, and the option of a visiting specialist ultrasound service at all sites for those more complex cases. Whalley serves as a branch feeding more complex cases into these two but does still possess a biochemistry machine and space for minor surgical procedures.
A valid driving license is required as this role involves working across our three locations in Blackburn, Clayton-le-Moors, and Whalley on a rota basis.
Currently we have 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse,1 Veterinary Care assistant, 7 Receptionists, 1 Admin, 1 Practice Manager and a Clinical Director. Our client base is loyal, and we pride ourselves on offering the best standards of service and care to patients and clients alike.
Our full-time role would involve working 40 hours per week Monday – Friday, within the hours 8.30am-7.30pm. Saturdays will be 1 in 4 from 8:00am-5:00pm with time back in lieu. We value your personal time so there are no late nights, out of hours or bank holidays.
