We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for ophthalmology to join our team at Rowe Veterinary Referrals.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be used to working under pressure effectively with high attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of capnography and multiparameter monitors (NIBP, IVPB, capnography, ECG), ventilators, and experience in referral practice are preferable. However, ophthalmology experience is not mandatory as full training will be provided.
Clinical duties include admission/discharge of patients, provision of perioperative medications, assistance in anesthesia induction, monitoring anesthesia, preparing patients for surgery, theatre assistance, patient recovery, instrument cleaning, and care.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Rowe Referrals, while most of your week will focus on ophthalmology, you will also have the opportunity to work across our referral departments, including soft tissue, oncology, dentistry, neurology, diagnostic imaging, and orthopedics.

As a hospital offering 24/7 veterinary care, we are equipped with advanced facilities, including MRI, CT, scopes, ultrasonography, an on-site laboratory, and a dedicated team of skilled nurses and support staff. Our clinicians are committed to providing the highest level of patient care.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week over 5 days. Shifts typically run between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm, with an on-call rota of 1 in 5 (including 1 weeknight and weekends), for which additional overtime pay is provided.
