Job summary

Wheelhouse Vets seeks a registered veterinary nurse to join our first-opinion practice in a full-time role. You will deliver high-quality nursing care across theatre, wards, and nurse clinics, within a supportive team in a lovely Chilterns setting.

We value development through our Nurse Academy and leadership pathways, with structured ward rounds each morning to plan procedures and care. Both graduates and experienced nurses are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients as part of the clinical team.
• Collaborate with veterinary surgeons and wider practice team to support patient care.
• Participate in ward rounds and contribute to care planning and daily procedures.
• Support ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
