Job summary

Rowe Vets in Bradley Stoke, part of inspiring vet care, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a 12-month maternity cover. You’ll join a busy 24-hour hospital, working across first opinion cases, with a mix of surgical, medical, inpatient, emergency and critical care.

The role offers 40 hours a week, 5 days on a rota, and 1:6 weekend rota with night backup. You will deliver high standards of nursing care, support anesthetic monitoring, and collaborate with vets and clinical teams to ensure

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Experience in clinical practice with nursing across medical/surgical cases.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Rowe Vets, Bradley Stoke on a Fixed-Term basis.

Rowe Vets, Bradley Stoke is a busy 24-hour veterinary hospital and referral centre based in Bristol, offering an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced and supportive clinical environment. You'll be joining a highly skilled team of vets, nurses, and clinical support colleagues, all working together to deliver exceptional patient and client care.

This role offers exposure to a varied caseload across first opinion, giving you the opportunity to develop and utilise a broad range of nursing skills. With a mix of surgical, medical, inpatient, emergency and critical care cases.

How You'll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

This position is a 12-month maternity cover role.

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week
  • 5 days per week on a rota basis
  • Participation in a 1:6 weekend rota, with night backup on a 1:12 basis
