The successful candidate will become an integral part of the clinical team, helping shape clinical standards and protocols while having the opportunity to develop their skills across a varied and advanced caseload.
The practice is a modern, purpose-built small animal facility in Bar Hill, Cambridge, designed to high clinical standards.
Facilities include a dedicated dental suite, imaging suite, laparoscopic theatre, standard operating theatre and 5 consulting rooms, alongside advanced equipment such as digital X-ray, dental X-ray, extensive orthopaedic equipment, ultrasound, endoscopy and laparoscopy facilities and an in-house laboratory.
The practice also operates as a Clinical Academy Practice, providing laparoscopic surgical training and supporting the development of veterinary professionals.
The caseload includes a wide variety of medical and surgical cases, with a strong proportion of insured clients allowing the team to pursue thorough diagnostics and treatment plans.
The team includes experienced Veterinary Surgeons and RVNs with interests and qualifications across advanced surgery, diagnostic imaging, feline medicine, anaesthesia, soft tissue surgery, endoscopy and laparoscopy.
The practice is Practice Standards Scheme accredited and holds Silver Level ISFM Cat Friendly status.
Deliver high-quality nursing care across a varied small animal caseload.
Support Veterinary Surgeons with medical, surgical and diagnostic procedures.
Assist with anaesthesia, theatre, recovery and inpatient care.
Contribute to clinical standards, protocols and day-to-day practice management.
Work confidently across routine and advanced nursing duties.
Support laparoscopic, endoscopic, orthopaedic and dental procedures where appropriately trained.
Provide compassionate patient care and excellent client communication.
Collaborate with Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs and the wider practice team.
Participate actively in CPD and professional development.
Contribute ideas and clinical expertise to the continued development of the practice.
Provide occasional cover at the associated Beehive Centre practice when required.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about high clinical standards and wants to play an active role within a progressive veterinary team.
They should enjoy working collaboratively and be keen to contribute to the development of clinical protocols and day-to-day practice operations.
Experience in advanced procedures such as laparoscopy, endoscopy, orthopaedics, imaging or anaesthesia would be advantageous, although training and development can be provided where required.
