Job description

Exciting, full-time role available working primarily at our main hospital site, working nights with our PETS service. We are very proud to have our own out of hours service, providing continuity of care and supporting clinics across the area with their out of hours needs.

Our Brighton Clinic is based within our flagship hospital in central Brighton. The clinic provides a comprehensive range of general practice veterinary services including medicine, surgery, radiography, CT, ultrasound and dentistry along with the support of nursing clinics – all bolstered by excellent hospital facilities. Patients of our Brighton clinic can also benefit from the on-site support of Brighton Veterinary Referrals if additional expertise is required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with some years of experience and who works well as part of our team. Our objective is to always have a happy and supportive working environment and for our patients to receive excellent clinical care. Hours will include 37.5 hours over 4 nights per week, including weekends and bank holidays.

Why join us?

Exciting opportunity to be a part of IVC Evidensia at our main referral hospital. The varied locations provide an opportunity to learn how both small and larger practice’s function and create an extensive network within the industry. You will come into contact with many specialists and be an essential team player in providing great care and service to our clients. We are a 5 minute walk from the train station and a 20 minute walk into central Brighton. The area is perfect if you enjoy a mix of vibrant town life with a beautiful countryside and outdoor activities on your doorstep.

About the team and culture

We consider wellbeing a priority as well as working together to create a good work-life balance. This enables us to provide excellent and friendly care to our clients, many of whom have been with the practice for several decades. We have an exceptionally supportive team in place, and should you choose us as your next place to work, your well‑being and happiness at work is our top priority.

The Perfect Fit

We hope to find a nurse who is passionate about animal and client care as well as wanting to be part of a team. You must be eligible to be registered with the RCVS, preferred 3+yrs qualified and it is essential that you have excellent communication skills. We are seeking a Registered Nurse who is competent in all routine surgeries and ideally more complex ones too, although there is support available to develop.
