Job summary

GLG Vets in Dorchester, Dorset, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well-run, friendly practice. Based in Dorchester, you’ll provide inpatient care across wards and day patients and support diagnostics and client education.

RCVS registration is required, with solid experience across theatre, wards, and consults. The role offers CPD encouragement and funded development, generous holidays, and a supportive team with clinical autonomy.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered nurse status or eligible to register.
• Experience across theatre, wards and consults is essential.
• CPD encouragement and ongoing professional development welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent inpatient care across wards and day patients.
• Monitor anaesthesia and assist during theatre procedures.
• Run nurse clinics and deliver client education.
• Support diagnostics (lab work, radiography prep, sample handling).
• Maintain meticulous clinical notes and contribute to QI initiatives.
