Job summary

Abivale Vets in Abingdon, part of IVC Evidensia Group, is recruiting a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a 40-hour week across a 5-day rota with 8-hour shifts. There is a 24-hour emergency care backdrop and a £2,500 welcome bonus.

The practice offers ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscopy, dental x-ray, and in-house lab facilities near Oxford. You’ll join a supportive, team-focused environment with opportunities to expand clinical skills across medical and surgical nursing, diagnostics, and patient

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
• Proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied caseload.
• Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging including radiography and ultrasonography.
• Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery.
