Inspiring Vet Care in Abingdon is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Abivale Vets on a full-time basis, with part-time and newly qualified applicants considered. A £2,500 welcome bonus is offered.

The role involves a 40-hour week, 5 days, weekend/bank holiday rota, and no out-of-hours requirement due to a dedicated night team. Abivale Vets is a well-established small animal practice offering ultrasound, x-ray, endoscopy, and an in-house lab.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• Proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied caseload.
• Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging including radiography and ultrasonography.
• Provide inpatient care and support patient recovery.
• Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team.
