As a key member of their nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our diverse patient caseload. You will be a proactive team player, eager to contribute your skills and support your colleagues in all aspects of patient management. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with pet owners and the wider veterinary team on a daily basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys a varied and stimulating workload and is committed to continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing high standards of nursing care to all patients.
  • Assisting veterinary surgeons with consultations, surgical procedures, and diagnostic tests.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitoring anaesthesia and providing post-operative care.
  • Performing laboratory tests and interpreting results.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Providing compassionate and informative advice to pet owners.
  • Actively participating in the smooth running of the practice.
  • Contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development opportunities.

Rota Requirements:

  • Participation in a 1 in 4 weekend rota (Saturday and Sunday).
  • Shift times varying between 8:00 am and 8:30 pm.
  • Participation in a duty night rotation.
