Job summary

CVS Fern Cottage Veterinary Centre, Sittingbourne, Kent, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a 12-month fixed-term contract, averaging 31.75 hours across 3–4 days, to cover maternity leave.

You will be at the heart of promoting pet wellness, monitoring patients' health, supporting recovery and offering reassurance to owners. CVS provides industry-leading training and a clear career pathway to grow your nursing skills and confidence.

Qualifications

• Some experience as a qualified veterinary nurse and confident in all areas of nursing, including anaesthetics.
• Be passionate about delivering exceptional care to patients and their owners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality patient care, running wards and monitoring recovery.
• Conducting nurse consults and clinics.
• Monitoring anaesthetics during operations.
• Supporting student nurses in their clinical journey.
