Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clinical nursing: inpatient care, monitoring, treatments, accurate records.
• Anaesthesia support: induction, monitoring, recovery.
• Surgical assistance: theatre prep, support surgeons, sterility.
• Laboratory work: in-house diagnostics and sample prep.
• Client communication: post-operative care and wellbeing.
• Nurse clinics: weight checks, nail clips, parasite control, senior pet reviews.
• Practice support: stock, cleanliness, infection-control, team culture.

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) Weybridge

The Role

As an RVN, youll be involved in a varied range of nursing responsibilities, including:

• Clinical Nursing: Providing excellent inpatient care, including patient monitoring, administering treatments and maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Anaesthesia Support: Assisting with anaesthetic induction, monitoring and recovery across a range of procedures.
• Surgical Assistance: Preparing theatres, supporting veterinary surgeons during operations and maintaining high standards of sterility and patient safety.
• Laboratory Work: Performing in-house diagnostic tests, preparing samples and helping maintain laboratory equipment.
• Client Communication: Providing clear and empathetic advice to clients on post-operative care, nutrition, preventative healthcare and general pet wellbeing.
• Nurse Clinics: Conducting routine clinics such as weight checks, nail clips, parasite-control advice and senior pet reviews.
• Practice Support: Maintaining stock levels, upholding cleanliness and infection-control standards, and contributing to a positive team culture.
