Job summary

Woodside Veterinary Group in Torphins is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. A £2000 welcome bonus is offered to support you in your new role.

Based at our main practice in Torphins, you will work with clinicians to provide high-quality nursing care, including nurse clinics, theatre work, diagnostics and inpatient care, while developing skills through CPD and nurse-led initiatives.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS is required.
• Experience in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• Willingness to participate in nurse training and CPD.

We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Woodside Vets on a full-time basis. We are also offering a £2000 welcome bonus to support you in your new role.

Woodside Vets are a welcoming mixed practice with three branches situated in the heart of Royal Deeside. This role will be based at our main practice in Torphins. A practice that values the nursing team, with opportunities to expand skills through nurse consultations, CPD and additional areas of interest. Being part of a long-established rural practice means building strong relationships with clients and their animals over time. Exposure to diagnostics, surgery, inpatient care, preventative healthcare and a wide range of procedures.

Our team currently comprises of 8 Vets, 5 Nurses, and 11 Support staff. One nurse holds a certificate in nutrition and another just finishing a certificate in surgical nursing. We do take students so Clinical Coach would be an advantage but happy to support training.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 37.5 hours per week
• Working 4 or 5 days per week
• No OOH or on-call duties
