Job summary

Provost Vet Group in St Andrews is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. You’ll deliver high-quality nursing care to patients, work closely with veterinary surgeons, and support excellent client experiences in our modern, Cat Friendly Clinic with dedicated wards and in-house diagnostics.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and team-oriented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Provost Vet Group on a full-time basis. To welcome you to the team, we’re also offering a £1,500 welcome bonus.

Our modern, purpose-built surgery is located in the beautiful seaside town of St Andrews with 2 branches in the local area. The practice is well-equipped with high standard facilities including 2 surgical theatres, dental suite, digital and dental x-ray, endoscopy, Imotek ultrasound machine and in-house lab. We have designated cat, dog and isolation wards and we are proud to be a Cat Friendly Clinic. Further certification and career progression can be supported.

St. Andrews is a seaside town northeast of Edinburgh, on Scotland’s east coast. It’s known for its many golf courses, including the Old Course. It’s also known for its historic university, medieval streets and gorgeous traditional buildings. The town is filled with exciting things to see and do, from St Andrews Cathedral to nearby Scotland’s Secret Bunker, so you won’t be short on places to visit. Located half an hour from Dundee and less than two hours from Edinburgh & Glasgow.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working hours

• 40 hours per week
• Working 4 days per week
• 1 in 4 Saturday rota with TOIL
• No OOH requirement.
