Job summary

Medivet Petts Wood is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a welcoming, supportive team. You will deliver high-quality nursing care, support surgical procedures and nurse-led activities, and contribute to excellent patient and client care.

You will work with an experienced team in a practice close to Petts Wood Station, with access to a 24-hour Beckenham Hospital for weekends and bank holidays, and clear opportunities for professional development and career progression within Medivet.

The Role

• Delivering high-quality nursing care to a varied caseload
• Performing nurse consultations and supporting surgical procedures and inpatient care
• Maintaining excellent clinical standards and patient welfare
• Building strong relationships with clients and their pets
• Working collaboratively within a supportive veterinary team
• Contributing ideas to help continuously improve patient care and practice operations

Weekend & Bank Holiday Commitment

• A share of weekend shifts at our 24-hour Beckenham Hospital (currently one weekend in five)
• A fair share of Bank Holiday cover at Beckenham Hospital
• Time off in lieu provided for Bank Holiday shifts and weekends worked

About You

You’re a RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. You’re a team player who wants to make a real difference in a practice that values and supports you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver exceptional care to patients, carrying out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities, supporting consults, surgeries and procedures, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards
• Deliver patient monitoring and care, and manage admissions and discharges
• Deliver exceptional care to your clients
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team
