Job description

Medivet Borehamwood is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team!

This is a full‑time role working 39 hours over 4 days per week, ideally including Mondays and Fridays. You’ll be primarily based at our Borehamwood and Mill Hill branches (2 days at each), with occasional cover at Temple Fortune.

Our friendly and supportive team is passionate about delivering exceptional care, and you’ll enjoy a varied caseload in a well‑equipped, modern environment. This role includes a mix of early and late shifts, offering variety in your working week.

You’ll also be part of a 1 in 6 weekend rota at our Hendon 24‑hour hospital, with time off in lieu, as well as shared bank holiday cover.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co‑ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
