An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Middlesbrough Vets for Pets practice for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team.
We are looking for a nurse to join us on a full-time basis working 4 days a week, from 8:30 am to 7 pm, Tuesday to Friday, with Mondays off. This will include working 1 in 6 Saturdays (9 am to 12:30 pm), in sole charge with the support of a veterinary surgeon and receptionist.

We are located on Marton Road, Middlesbrough, with excellent transport links and the benefits of both a vibrant city and rural surroundings, including the North York Moors and beaches nearby.
The practice is well established, partner-owned for 15 years, and thriving with a wide variety of interesting medical and surgical cases. You will join an experienced team led by Kat Goldsbrough MRCVS, including 3 Vets, 5 Nurses working on a 3, 2, and 4 schedule, along with 3 student nurses fully supported by 4 Client Care Advisors.
We are currently undergoing a full refurbishment, which includes a dedicated nurse consulting room, a state-of-the-art dental X-ray suite, and a new reception area designed for client and staff comfort. We are also introducing a modern colleague room for staff relaxation and recharging. It’s an exciting time to join us as we grow and invest in our facilities and team!
About the role:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your nursing skills fully, including admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovery, and discharge. Assistance from ANAs and an SVN will be available for theatre turnaround and patient prep.
Our nursing team aims to achieve job satisfaction through in-depth nursing clinics, anaesthesia, radiology, and laboratory work, with three scheduled procedures. Experience in these areas is preferred.
