Job summary

Manchester Fort Vets for Pets is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our modern, purpose-built practice in Manchester. You will be involved in nurse clinics, inpatient care, anaesthesia, imaging and lab work, delivering high standards of patient and client care alongside a supportive team.

The successful candidate will be an RVN, with strong communication and organisational skills, and a commitment to professional development within a first-opinion setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with RVN status.
• Experience in a first-opinion practice is preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Willingness to develop professionally and continue learning.
• Hands-on nursing across clinical areas including clinics and inpatient care.

Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to join a modern, forward-thinking practice where you'll be supported, encouraged to develop, and genuinely enjoy coming to work?

Manchester Fort Vets for Pets is looking for a passionate and confident RVN to join our friendly, inclusive team in our brand-new, purpose-built practice, which opened in 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a nurse who enjoys being hands-on across all aspects of nursing and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient and client care. Meet the Team

You'll be joining a close-knit team consisting of:

• 2 Veterinary Surgeons
• 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse
• 1 Veterinary Care Assistant
• 1 Client Care Advisor
• 1 Practice Manager

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding nursing position within a busy first-opinion practice. Our caseload includes routine consultations alongside a broad range of medical and surgical cases, providing plenty of opportunity to utilise and develop your nursing skills.

You'll be involved in all aspects of nursing, including:

• Nurse consultations and preventative healthcare clinics
• Inpatient care and monitoring
• Anaesthesia and theatre nursing
• Diagnostic imaging and laboratory work
• Supporting surgical and medical cases
• Delivering outstanding patient and client care as part of a collaborative clinical team

Our Facilities

Our modern practice is fully equipped with everything you need to provide excellent clinical care, including:

• Ultrasound
• Digital X-ray
• Multi-parameter monitoring
• In-house laboratory
• Dental machine
• Pulse oximetry
• Doppler equipment

We're looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who:

• Is confident working within a first-opinion practice.
• Enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing and thrives in a hands-on clinical role.

• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
