Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Woodlands Veterinary Centre, Haslemere site. The main role would be to run nurse consultations and to assist the veterinary surgeon with procedures and operations.

Rota

This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week. The shifts will be from 8:00am–6:00pm on weekdays. There will be 1 Saturday morning a month from 8:00am–12:00pm (to support the Vet and perform nurse clinics) with no out of hours or long weekends.

About us

Haslemere is a beautifully compact site, there are 2 consultation areas, with a kennel room leading off the preparation area. The waiting area is large and separated into cats and dogs. We are situated in the beautiful South Downs, a stone's throw away from the coast and London, giving the best of both worlds. We are an hour from both Heathrow and Gatwick Airport allowing for close transport links to Europe and beyond. We work closely with the neighbourhood Cat's Protection Adoption Centre, visiting them each week to give the new arrivals health checks and any necessary treatments.

What we offer

Come and join our friendly and supportive team. We have an amazing team of Vets, Nurses, VCA's and Front of House, all working together to achieve an excellent standard of care. We have a nurturing culture, with a high emphasis on learning and development. We have several certificate holders who are always sharing their knowledge and discuss cases with the nursing team. We encourage our nurses to pursue their passions in whatever form.

Our ideal candidate

We welcome all levels of experience post-qualification for RVN positions. However, we do hope you will be kind, considerate, have a high energy, a positive can-do attitude, be happy to use your initiative and use time and resources effectively. You will have good interpersonal skills with a passion on all aspects of general nursing. You will instinctively want to go that extra mile to provide the best care to your patients. We would like an excellent communicator with confidence in performing nurse clinics. At the moment we have lots of health check clinics and the normal nail clips, but you would be able to develop any new nurse clinics of your choosing.
