Job summary

Seafield Vet Group is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

Our Banff site forms part of a three-branch practice with a varied caseload including small animals, farm, and equine exposure. You’ll work with surgeons and the wider team to deliver high-quality nursing care and client support across the practice.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Experience working in clinical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high standard nursing care to a varied caseload (routine, emergency, surgical).
  • Support veterinary surgeons with procedures, inpatient care, diagnostics and Schedule 3 activities where appropriate.
  • Run nurse consultations and clinics, delivering client care and preventative advice.
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Contribute to development of nursing services and maintain high clinical standards.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Seafield Vets on a full-time permanent basis.

Seafield Vet Group has 3 branches (Keith, Banff and Buckie) each with a comprehensive range of diagnostic and surgical tools including a full Idexx lab suite and a new and updated ultrasound allow our team to work up cases in house to a high standard. Our Banff and Buckie branches both see a small animal caseload, whereas our main site at Keith is a mixed practice covering small animal, farm and equine. We a have a strong small animal client base and would be happy to support our successful candidate in gaining some exposure to farm or equine cases if desired.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Hours
  • 38 hours per week
  • Working over 4 days
  • 1 in 4 weekend rota
  • No OOH responsibilities
General responsibilities
  • Provide a high standard of nursing care to patients across a varied caseload, including routine, emergency, and surgical cases.
