Job summary

Fenaghy Veterinary Clinic in Ballymena seeks a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team on a full-time or part-time basis. You’ll deliver high-quality nursing care within a supportive practice, working closely with surgeons and nurses across our two clinics.

The role covers nurse clinics, theatre work, inpatient care and imaging/lab support, with a 40-hour week, 4 days per week and a Saturday every 6 weeks (9–2) in Ballymena. OOH duties are not required.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Experience in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills; proactive learning and development.

Join the fantastic team at Fenaghy Veterinary Clinic, a thriving small animal practice with two well-equipped clinics in the bustling towns of Antrim and Ballymena. As an added welcome, we're offering a £1,000 welcome bonus to the successful candidate.

You’ll become part of a welcoming, collaborative team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Animal Nursing Assistants, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 4 Receptionists, a dedicated Practice Manager, and a visiting Specialist Ophthalmologist.

Our experienced veterinary team brings a wealth of expertise, with certificate holders in Surgery, Dermatology, and Exotic Animal Medicine, creating a supportive environment where you'll have the opportunity to learn, develop, and work alongside highly skilled professionals every day.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Working 4 days per week with 1 set day off
  • 1 Saturday every 6 weeks 9-2 in Ballymena
  • No OOH or on-call requirement
  • Part-time applications will be considered
