You’ll join a friendly, close-knit team in a busy first opinion practice, working alongside experienced vets and supportive colleagues. The role is hands-on, covering nurse consults, anaesthetic monitoring, surgical support, and patient care — with no weekend or OOH commitments.
Independently monitor general anaesthetics and surgical procedures
Carry out nurse clinics including health checks, dental checks, blood sampling, BP monitoring, and more
Support patients from pre-op admissions to post-op recovery
Perform practical nursing such as IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and analgesia administration
Provide client education and advice on preventative care
Work closely with the vet team to ensure smooth daily operations
RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
Confident in anaesthetic monitoring and surgical support
Skilled in running nurse consults and client communication
A positive, flexible team player
Interest in schedule 3 procedures welcomed and supported
Salary: £30,000+ DOE
Holidays: 20 days + bank holidays
Hours: Full-time (5 days) or part-time considered
Flexibility: No weekends, no OOH, no on-call
