Job description
Overview

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Altrincham Vets for Pets

Salary: £30,000-£34,000 DOE | Full-time, 40 hours

At Altrincham Vets for Pets, we're not just filling a rota - we're building the best first-opinion practice in Altrincham. We've recently expanded into a modern, spacious site with 5 consult rooms, 2 theatres, dedicated recovery spaces, a study area and a large rest room. We've got a strong team, clear leadership, and the ambition to raise the standard of what a first-opinion practice can be. Now we need the right nurse to join us.

This is your chance to step into a role where your skills will be trusted, your input will be valued, and your career will be supported.

Why you should join us
  • Modern facilities designed to let you do your best work every day.
  • Nursing leadership you can trust:
    • Jo, who holds an Advanced Nursing Certificate, leads on clinical standards and coaching.
    • Mathew, an experienced RVN with multiple certificates, focuses on team development, wellbeing and culture.
  • Real autonomy: if we give you a patient and a plan, you\'ll be trusted to see it through.
  • A balanced rota: no on-call, no Sundays, breaks and admin time built into the diary.
  • A culture that listens: regular nurse meetings, open clinical discussions, and genuine support for special interests and certificates.
Who we\'re looking for
  • A confident, clinically excellent RVN with strength in anaesthesia, inpatient care and all-round nursing.
  • Independent under pressure, reliable, and able to work under your own steam.
  • A team player who values both collaboration and autonomy.
  • Someone who wants to grow with us - whether that\'s pursuing a certificate, developing a specialism, or shaping the way we work.
The package
  • £30,000-£34,000 DOE
  • Company pension scheme
  • 5.6 weeks\' holiday (rising to 6.6 after 2 years)
  • RCVS & BVNA fees paid
  • CPD fully supported (certificates encouraged)
  • Reward hub with discounts, cashback, and cycle-to-work scheme
Why wouldn\'t you apply?

This is more than just another RVN job. It\'s a chance to be part of a practice with ambition, modern facilities, and a leadership team who understand what nurses need to thrive.
