Job summary

Priory Hospital Roehampton is seeking a Registered Psychologist to join the Allied Health Professionals and Psychology department. This full-time, on-site role is based at Priory Hospital Roehampton in London, offering a salary of £58,250 per year.

You will assess patients, contribute to care plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies in a multidisciplinary setting, with opportunities for professional development and governance involvement.

Qualifications

  • Registered psychologist with HCPC registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology.
  • Experience in mental health settings, ideally inpatient or complex care.
  • Strong skills in assessment, formulation, and delivering evidence-based therapies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver psychological assessments, formulations, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Develop, implement and review individualised treatment plans in collaboration with the team.
  • Provide group and 1:1 therapy to promote wellbeing and resilience.
  • Maintain high-quality clinical documentation, risk assessments and outcomes.
  • Support supervision, teaching, and reflective practice within the team.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

  • Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments, formulations, and evidence-based interventions (e.g. CBT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches) for patients with complex mental health needs
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review individualised, recovery-focused treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Facilitate a range of therapeutic interventions, including structured group programmes and one-to-one therapy sessions, to promote emotional wellbeing and resilience
  • Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, risk assessment, and outcome monitoring, ensuring compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Actively contribute to clinical governance, audit, service development, and research, while also supporting supervision, teaching, and reflective practice within the team

What you'll bring to the role

Candidates should hold a recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychology and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Applicants should demonstrate strong skills in psychological assessment, formulation, and delivery of evidence-based therapies, along with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication, risk management, and report-writing skills are required, alongside a commitment to ongoing professional development and high standards of clinical practice.
