A leading healthcare provider in Wales is seeking a Registered Psychologist to join their large psychology team at Llanarth Court Hospital. The role involves assessment, training, and providing interventions to improve service users' quality of life. Opportunities for training and development are available.
A vacancy has arisen for a Registered Psychologist to work full time in the large psychology team based at Llanarth Court Hospital. The team consists of experienced qualified psychologists, Trainee and Assistant Psychologists. Llanarth Court Hospital has seven wards and cares for Forensic patients with a range of mental health needs. Our Psychologists work alongside colleagues from Psychiatry, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Social Work to provide high quality care.
The Psychologist we are looking for will be experienced in assessment and formulation to help determine the treatment needs of individual service users. The role also includes providing training to staff, running reflective practice, writing risk assessments and providing individual and group interventions, to meet the needs of the population. There is a large established and supportive psychology team at Llanarth Court to provide the backdrop to the work on the units.
We are looking for someone with a creative and compassionate approach, with an enthusiasm for improving the quality of life of our service users both whilst they are in our care and as they progress to less restrictive environments. There are good opportunities for training and development.
Essential Requirements
Post-graduate qualification in clinical, forensic or counselling psychology and Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Registered Psychologist. Those within a few months of qualification may also apply.

Experience of working in a Forensic setting, HCR-20 trained and experience in at least one therapeutic modality
