Job summary

Priory Hospital Kemple View in Blackburn, Lancashire, is recruiting a HCPC registered psychologist to join our Allied Health Professionals and Psychology team. The role is full time, 37.5 hours, on-site at the Kemple View site.

Salary ranges £48,250 to £58,250 per year, depending on experience. You'll conduct comprehensive assessments, deliver individual and group therapies, and work with clients, families and carers to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration is mandatory.
• Chartership with the British Psychological Society (BPS) is preferred.
• Minimum: relevant Master1s degree with postgraduate qualification and accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to referrals promptly with comprehensive assessments and person-centered therapy plans.
• Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions to support mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions and adapt interventions to changing client needs.
• Collaborate with clients, families and carers to ensure therapy is meaningful and outcomes-focused.
• Regularly review and evaluate therapy programmes to ensure alignment with the client1s plan.

Priory Hospital Kemple View has an opportunity for a HCPC registered practitioner Psychologist to join our team.

Priory Hospital Kemple View, Blackburn, Lancashire is a 90-bedded hospital providing level 2 rehabilitation and secure services for adult males with mental health conditions and/or personality disorders. It is accessible by public transport, with a local train station approximately a 3-minute drive away. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

What you'll be doing

• Respond to referrals promptly, carrying out comprehensive assessments to understand each client's needs and develop an appropriate, person-centred therapy programme.
• Deliver a range of relevant therapeutic interventions and activities designed to support and promote clients' mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, adapting interventions as needed to reflect each client's changing needs and goals.
• Work collaboratively with clients, families and carers to ensure therapy is meaningful, effective and focused on achieving positive outcomes.
• Regularly review and evaluate therapy programmes, ensuring that interventions remain appropriate and aligned with each client's individual therapy plan.

What you'll bring to the role

Essential: Applicants must be Practitioner Psychologists registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)—this is a mandatory requirement—and Chartership with the British Psychological Society (BPS) is preferred.

This role requires a minimum of a relevant Master's degree, along with a recognised postgraduate qualification and accreditation from the appropriate professional body (BABCP, BCP, BPS or equivalent). Candidates must also demonstrate prior experience and practical exposure within their chosen field of therapy, ensuring they possess the necessary clinical competence and applied knowledge to deliver high-quality therapeutic practice.
