Job summary

Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Health Care Professional to join the Vaccination and Rapid Response Team. You will work as part of a dynamic team delivering a safe and effective vaccination service across Lincolnshire.

You will undertake clinical assessments, planning and evaluation of activities, enabling vaccination delivery, and administering vaccines across all age groups in varied settings.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating activities along with wider disease prevention and health promotion activities in a variety of settings.
  • Enable the delivery of vaccinations to all eligible patients by assisting with the overall coordination of the site activity and day to day delivery of vaccination programmes.
  • Ensure clinic rooms and equipment are available at the start of each session.
  • Ensure knowledge of conditions that affect suitability for vaccination and previous vaccination history.
  • Administer vaccinations across all age groups in a variety of clinical and non-clinical settings, in line with local and national policy, procedure and legal frameworks.
  • Report and record all clinical assessments, care, and treatment: escalating any concerns and issues in a timely way.
  • Conduct clinical assessments within vaccination activity and wider disease prevention and health promotion.
  • Respond to episodes of low-level communicable disease outbreaks and incidents in Lincolnshire so they are managed in a rapid and effective manner reducing the risk of onward transmission and wider outbreaks.
  • Administer pre and post exposure prophylaxis and treatment for low level communicable disease outbreaks in a variety of settings.
  • Conduct patient assessments, testing, and treatment/prophylaxis under the Patient Group Directive in response to low-level communicable disease outbreaks. Ensure all activities are documented in the records system. Working from PGDs.

Job description

As a Registered Health Care Professional working in the Vaccination and Rapid Response Team the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service.

Key Responsibilities
  • The post holder will undertake clinical assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating activities along with wider disease prevention and health promotion activities in a variety of settings. The aim of the service is to protect those who are most at risk of serious illness or death from infectious disease and to reduce transmission of the infection. The post holder will be flexible to service need delivering the service across Lincolnshire
