Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Practical Nurse plays a critical role within our communities, impacting residents’ lives.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care according to established policies, physician’s orders, and resident care plans within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
  • Ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care using sound nursing principles.
  • Create a welcoming and supportive environment through teamwork and effective communication.
  • Oversee resident care, communicate regularly with residents and families, and guide staff.
  • Supervise Personal Support Workers and unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
  • Conduct admissions, readmissions, and assessments of residents.
Qualifications:
  • A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
  • Good judgment, risk awareness, and ability to foster a positive environment.
