Leicester Royal Infirmary Theatres are recruiting Band 5 Nurses, Anaesthetic Nurses, and Operating Department Practitioners within our department!

Opportunities include specialties such as Emergencies, Obstetrics, Trauma, Plastics, Max Fax, ENT, Robotic surgery, Paediatrics, and the East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre & Ophthalmology. This could be the start of a fantastic career in one of these specialist areas!

We offer excellent opportunities for learning and career advancement, supported by our dedicated Education Team and clinical skills supervisors.

Experience in Theatres, Anaesthetics, or an acute surgical ward is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from student ODPs & RNs and individuals returning to practice.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Coordinating and providing skilled clinical practice to patients, in accordance with NMC/HCPC Code of Conduct.
  2. Contributing to the development of Nurses/ODPs, including supervising junior staff.
  3. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based clinical care programs.
  4. Assisting in the management and organization of a theatre or unit.
  5. Maintaining high standards of quality nursing/ODP care.
  6. Participating in education, development, and supervision of staff.
  7. Mentoring and supporting students and learners.
  8. Collaborating with colleagues to meet patient needs.
