Job description
Overview

Registered Nurses are invited to join the Woolverstone Macmillan Centre at Ipswich Hospital, to support a nurse-led outpatient haemato-oncology service. This is a great opportunity to work in a busy Chemotherapy Day Unit / Outreach clinics, with a requirement for recent post-registration experience and evidence of relevant post-registration study.

Responsibilities
  • To deliver high quality, evidence based, safe, cost effective care to all patients and families.
  • To complete a recognised accredited Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy course (SACT).
  • To complete the UKINS Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy passport.
  • To assess patients pre-SACT, carry out a full toxicity screen, and ensure patients are safe to proceed with treatment.
  • To work across clinical areas to develop and enhance clinical skills and practice, including part of a rotation to the Mobile Cancer Unit.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Recent post-registration experience in Oncology and Haematology.
  • Evidence of relevant post-registration study.
  • Ideally, completion of Guy’s Cancer Academy Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) Online course; if not completed, support to undertake the course.
Working Arrangements and About ESNEFT

Working hours are Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 18:00. ESNEFT provides hospital and community health services across east Suffolk and north Essex, delivering care from acute hospitals, community hospitals, clinics, and in patients’ homes.
