The Harbour Hospital in Poole, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Registered Nurse (Adult) for ward bank shifts. This role is on an “as and when required” basis to cover busy periods and staff absences.

You will deliver direct nursing care, assess needs, maintain documentation, and support patients and families. A strong focus on patient safety and collaborative teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of patient safety and evidence-based practice.

Responsabilités

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and carers, providing information, reassurance, and emotional support.
• Support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality, safe, and efficient care.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

Salary: Up to £20.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

The Harbour Hospital in Poole is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Wards department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and carers, providing information, reassurance, and emotional support.
• Support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality, safe, and efficient care.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning.
