Job summary

Circle Health Group’s Mount Alvernia Hospital in Guildford is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the wards on a bank, as-and-when-required basis. Must hold valid NMC registration and have clinical experience in a hospital setting.

You will deliver direct nursing care, assess needs, document care plans, and support patients and families. The role supports flexible staffing across shifts and aims for high-quality, safe patient care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.

• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and carers, providing information and emotional support.
• Support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes.
• Work with colleagues to provide high-quality, safe care.
• Identify and report incidents and safeguarding concerns as per hospital procedures.

Salary: Up to £21.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in theWardsdepartment.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and carers, providing information, reassurance, and emotional support.
• Support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality, safe, and efficient care.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning.
