Job summary

The Priory Hospital in Birmingham, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Registered Nurse (Adult) to join their wards on a bank basis. You will supplement staffing during busy periods and cover for annual leave or absence, delivering direct patient care in line with care plans and protocols.

The role requires valid NMC registration, clinical experience, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining high standards of patient safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records and care planning.
• Previous experience in relevant specialty is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Monitor vital signs, recognise changes in condition, and escalate appropriately.
• Administer medications safely and in line with hospital policies and the NMC Code.
• Maintain accurate, legible, timely nursing documentation including assessments and care plans.
• Ensure care provided complies with NMC standards, governance requirements and hospital policies.
• Identify and report incidents and safeguarding concerns as per hospital procedures.

Salary: Up to £21.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in theWardsdepartment.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Monitor vital signs, recognise changes in condition, and escalated appropriately using clinical judgement.
• Administer medications safely and effectively in accordance with hospital policies and the NMC Code.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Ensure that all care provided complies with NMC standards, clinical governance requirements, and hospital policies.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning.
• Previous experience in a relevant specialty desirable (e.g., surgical, medical, outpatient, orthopaedics, critical care).
