Job summary

Circle Health Group's The Lancaster Hospital is recruiting a Registered Nurse to join the Wards team. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week and a permanent contract, with a salary up to £34,900 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

The role involves delivering direct nursing care, assessing patient needs, maintaining documentation, and supporting patients and families through treatments and recovery. Flexibility to cover day, night and weekend shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in clinical healthcare settings.
• Understanding of clinical governance and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and carers, providing information, reassurance, and emotional support.
• Support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality, safe, and efficient care.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

We have an opportunity for an Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in theWards department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern. Candidates must be available to work days, nights, and weekends.

Duties of this role include:
