Registered Nurse | Harpenden | Permanent | Full-time | Competitive Salary and Great Benefits

At Spire Harpenden Hospital, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive private hospital services and high standards of care for our patients. We offer fast access to high-quality healthcare, from consultations and advanced diagnostics to personalised treatments and expert aftercare.

Shift Pattern: long days (07:00-20:30), short days (07:00-15:00, 12:00-20:30), nights (20:00-07:30), and weekends. Please only apply if you can commit to this schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in the management and organisation of care provision in a variety of hospital settings.
  • Assess patients' health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload.
  • Assist in the delivery of care to meet individuals' health and wellbeing needs.
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
  • Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
  • Promote best practice in health and safety and security.
  • Assist in maintaining and developing services.
  • Contribute to quality improvement.
  • Promote people's equality, diversity and rights.
  • Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
Who We're Looking For
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Working towards a post-registration qualification in a clinical specialism.
  • Experience working in teams and with minimum supervision.
  • Experience applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes.
  • Experience in a caring role.
  • Competence across a range of nursing skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge.
  • Possess mandatory training requirements for the role, including infection control and health and safety competencies.
  • Demonstrate principles of accountable practice.
  • English language to IELTS 7.0.
  • Possess Equipment and Medical Devices Competences.
  • Continuing professional development.
  • Trained on MS Office and other relevant packages.
  • Root cause analysis.
