Colchester Hospital are looking for dynamic, motivated and experienced nurses with acute hospital experience to join our Surgical Assessment Unit.
Registered nurses are a key part of our ward teams and support the senior team in providing high quality care.
This is an excellent opportunity to join our friendly and busy teams who are motivated in promoting the delivery of a patient-centred, clinically effective and dynamic service to our patients undergoing a surgical procedure. We are dedicated to developing our staff and there are various opportunities to continue to develop skills and a career pathway with the NHS.
The Surgical Assessment Unit consists of seating spaces and recliners for assessment and 6 trolley spaces, often used for short stay surgical inpatient beds

The ward works very closely with many members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that we are equipped to meet our patient's needs.
You will undertake patient assessment to determine patient need, plan and implement their care. It is therefore essential you can demonstrate a commitment to effective team working and have excellent communication skills.
