Join our team as a Registered Nurse - Stroke Unit at Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurses to join our dedicated Stroke Unit. Our unit is a 35-bedded, multidisciplinary environment providing top-tier care for stroke patients, including hyper-acute level 2 acuity beds and recovery beds. We admit patients directly from emergency services and offer treatments such as thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy, with ongoing rehabilitation in the ward and community-based care through our Early Supported Discharge team.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care, including medication administration, treatment management, and emotional support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, maintaining high standards of care.
• Deliver rehabilitation and supportive care both on the ward and via the Early Supported Discharge team.
• Contribute to the continuous development of the Stroke Unit to uphold high standards.
