SHR (Spectrum Healthcare Resources) is recruiting a Registered Nurse for Orthopedics at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia. This full-time role includes excellent work/life balance with Monday‑Friday staffing, no nights or weekends. The nurse will provide care to the armed forces and their dependents, ensuring optimal patient health.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a current RN license, and at least one year of experience in orthopedics. Additional BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Benefits include employee status and comprehensive health coverage.

Position: Registered Nurse (Orthopedics)

Spectrum Healthcare Resources is offering a full‑time position at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia.

Position Highlights

Position Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of RN duties in accordance with the task order assignment, including triage, patient assessment, monitoring, and use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment.
• Provide appropriate nursing care, procedures, and treatments.
• Execute physicians’ orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice.
• Document patient care and observations.
• Provide patient education and emotional support.

Position Requirements

• Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and a state‑accredited professional nursing program.
• Active RN license – current, full, active, and unrestricted.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last two (2) years as an RN working in an orthopedic setting.
• Active BLS certification and ACLS.
• U.S. citizen.
