A leading healthcare provider in Gateshead is seeking a Registered Nurse to support older adults with dementia at Pinetree Lodge. The role involves coordinating care, developing support plans, and providing leadership to support staff. Candidates should be NMC registered and possess experience in mental health care, particularly with dementia patients. £27,000 - £36,000 (inclusive of enhancements for unsocial hours)
RNLD or RGN also considered (with previous Dementia experience)
Pinetree Lodge supports older adults with a diagnosis of dementia who, because of this organic brain disease, have behaviors that challenge which means they are unable to live in the wider community. Our team work closely to undertake assessments in order to provide person centered therapeutic interventions to minimize any risks associated with these behaviors.

Everyturn Mental Health provide a wide range of services in the North East of England, including dementia nursing care, social prescribing, supported housing, 24-hour specialist adult care, dementia respite care, and community wellbeing groups.
What we offer in return
As the post holder you will be responsible for efficiently co-ordinating and controlling day to day care and procedures in conjunction with, and in absence of, the Service Manager / Clinical Lead, providing leadership to a team of support workers.
You will work with families and other carers to assess client need, develop support plans and implement planned interventions. You must be able to adapt your approach to fit the needs of the individual and recognise and promote positive risk taking. Skill maintenance is a key aim for this client group and you must be positive and empowering in this area.
