A healthcare provider in Gateshead seeks a Registered Nurse to care for patients with dementia. You will coordinate care, assess client needs, and manage a team of support workers. You must have an NMC registration and experience with complex mental health issues. This role offers a salary between £28,320.95 and £34,879.65 plus bonuses.
RNLD or RGN also considered (with previous Dementia experience)
Pinetree Lodge supports older adults with a diagnosis of dementia who, because of this organic brain disease, have behaviors that challenge which means they are unable to live in the wider community. Everyturn Mental Health provide a wide range of services in the North East of England, including dementia nursing care, social prescribing, supported housing, 24-hour specialist adult care, dementia respite care, and community wellbeing groups.
What we offer in return
As the post holder you will be responsible for efficiently co-ordinating and controlling day to day care and procedures in conjunction with, and in absence of, the Service Manager / Clinical Lead, providing leadership to a team of support workers.
You will work with families and other carers to assess client need, develop support plans and implement planned interventions. You must be able to adapt your approach to fit the needs of the individual and recognise and promote positive risk taking. Skill maintenance is a key aim for this client group and you must be positive and empowering in this area.
