We are excited to advertise for Band 5 Mental Health Nurses to join the team on Ramsey unit, Dane Garth.
As a staff nurse, you will work alongside the multidisciplinary team to provide high standards of care to individuals in the most acute phase of illness, ensuring all aspects of care are delivered. Effective communication skills are essential, and you will be required to take on roles such as shift leader and named nurse.
You will receive regular support and supervision from a senior staff member, and a preceptorship is available if needed.

The successful candidate will work shifts covering 24 hours, seven days a week.

You will be a nurse working within a multidisciplinary team, performing a diverse range of duties. As a Band 5 Nurse, you will be supported and supervised by a Band 6 Nurse Specialist and encouraged to take responsibility for clinical supervision and your professional development plan.
You will undertake a preceptorship overseen by a Band 6 Nurse Specialist and participate in the trust's Preceptorship programme.
You will promote teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability, excellence, and compassion, aligning with the Trust values and Code of Conduct. Maintaining links with your professional body and providing evidence for revalidation is required.
You will provide nurse leadership within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective assessment, formulation, planning, and monitoring of care for service users.
You will exercise professional accountability and responsibility, applying skills, knowledge, and expertise in changing environments and unfamiliar situations, as outlined in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
You should maintain a positive attitude towards organizational change and service development.
