Overview

Pay: £43,000 per year. Location: Hybrid (office and home working) Borehamwood. Hours: Monday to Friday 9 – 5. We are recruiting for registered Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists (OTs) in Oxford who want to use and to build upon their clinical skills and knowledge and benefit from the excellent work life balance and professional development that a career as a PIP OR WCA Functional Assessor can give you.

We are seeking applications from clinicians with a minimum of 1-year post-qualification experience and registration in the UK. In this role you will grow your medical knowledge of a wide variety of medical, cognitive and mental health conditions.

Responsibilities
  • You will undertake a combination of file-work, face-to-face and telephone/video assessments with customers in relation to PIP OR ESA benefits and provide comprehensive reports to enable decision makers at DWP to make informed decisions regarding benefit claims.
  • Assessments focus on how a disability affects a customer’s day to day life and performing work related activities.
  • Provide accurate, well-structured reports to support decision making.
Benefits and Schedule
  • Salary: £43,000 per annum plus eligible benefits.
  • £1,000 salary uplift after 6 months and a further £1,000 uplift after 12 months.
  • Work-life balance: 9am – 5pm contracts with no nights or weekend shifts required.
  • Up to 10% quality and performance bonus once you’re an Approved Functional Assessor.
  • Hybrid position with a minimum of 2 days per week at one of our consultation centres.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and the option to purchase up to five additional days.

Requirements
  • One year's post-registration experience as a nurse, occupational therapist or physiotherapist.
  • Fully registered with a relevant UK regulatory body (NMC, HCPC or other), without restriction or conditions and with a valid PIN.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathise and dig deeper.
  • Ability to type at a minimum of 30 words per minute.
