A leading health system is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Outpatient Infusion Services in Warwick. Description of position:Responsible to provide direct patient care for patients in the Out-Patient Infusion unit, including patient assessment and treatment under an approved protocol. Is competent in venipuncture and central line access procedures.
Job Qualifications and Specifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a minimum of 1 year of job-related experience or equivalent is required. RI State Licensure is also required. Current Basic Life Support Certification is required. The ONS Chemo Basics Course is required within 1 month of hire. The ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Administration Certification is required prior to administration of chemotherapy agents and renewal is required every 2 years. OCN Certification through ONCC is preferred. If the RN does not have OCN, then the RN will maintain 36 CEUs in oncology per accreditation cycle care to satisfy the oncology Commission on Cancer accreditation. If or when ONC is achieved, the RN will be responsible to maintain the OCN only
