A leading healthcare provider in Torquay is seeking a Permanent Registered Nurse/ODP to join their Surgical Admissions and Pre-operative Assessment service. The ideal candidate should have surgical experience and be enthusiastic about delivering high standards of patient care. Opportunities for training and professional development are available. Salary ranges from £31,049 to £37,796 pro rata.
An opportunity has arisen to join our Surgical Admissions and pre-operative assessment service as a Registered Nurse/ODP on a permanent contract.
Upon joining us, you will become part of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high standards of individualised care to those who use our services, while always respecting their privacy and dignity. You will carry out clinical duties to provide the highest quality care to patients on a day-to-day basis. This role involves working within Surgical Admissions and Pre-assessment.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to carry out risk assessments and escalate concerns when they fall outside your scope of practice. This is an exciting time to be part of the pre-operative assessment field, as the role continues to develop nationally. Training modules will be available in collaboration with GIRFT, along with opportunities for professional development.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated, with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team. You should also be capable of prioritising your workload and working independently, with a strong desire to develop into a competent and confident pre-assessment practitioner.
Training and mentoring will be provided to support you in reaching your goals.
We are an area which comprises of a Surgical Admissions area and pre-operative assessment. We are a small friendly team who manage our own daily workload to deliver high standards of care.
We are committed to delivering high quality healthcare through our motivated team. The pre-operative role is a developing role and there are good opportunities for learning and training. Our team comprise of Senior HCA`s, AP`s Staff nurses Band 6 and 7.
