A family run nursing home is seeking an experienced Registered Adult / Mental Health Nurse for a part-time position. You will lead the nursing team, manage medication, and ensure the best care for residents with diverse health needs. Candidates must hold a valid NMC PIN and be able to communicate effectively. This rewarding role offers part-time hours starting at 24 per week, focusing on holistic care and resident independence.

Your Main Duties Will Be: As a Registered Nurse your role will be one of responsibility and accountability. You will be the nurse in charge when on shift, ensuring through good communication and leadership your team provides our residents with optimum care. Other duties include carrying out medication rounds using our electronic systems, managing stock, carrying out CD checks and escalating any medication changes or concerns to the pharmacy teams / home management team. You will also be involved in wound care and management, venepuncture, stoma care, end of life care, IV medications, and more.
Daily documentation of actions and communications on our e-plan, managing and updating care plans for residents who you will be assigned as named nurse. Be aware of each service user’s needs and know when to communicate with outside agencies and multi-disciplinary teams to provide the best outcomes for our residents. Recognise and manage any decline in health physical or mental health. Mandatory training to remain in-date; attend training sessions required for your role and continue to develop your skills.

We are a family run nursing home providing care for 26 adult residents, who have nursing and mental health needs with challenging behaviours.
