Job summary

The Oaks Care Home in Colchester, Essex is seeking a Registered Nurse (Nights) to deliver high-quality clinical care and support residents to live safely and with dignity.

Qualifications

  • Previous nursing experience.
  • A valid NMC PIN.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and responsibilities.
  • Commitment to promoting residents' independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred care and support to our residents.
  • Ensure the ongoing health, wellbeing, and safety of residents.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical developments and best practice.
  • Safely manage, administer, and record medication, including controlled drugs and oxygen, in line with NMC requirements and company procedures.
  • Understand and follow Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults policies and procedures, reporting concerns appropriately.
  • Accurately maintain resident records using our electronic care planning system, Nourish.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate positive caring values in all aspects of practice.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support excellent service delivery.

In Return For Your Dedication And Commitment, We Provide
  • Pay: £23 per hour
  • Full or Part time permanent contract available.
  • Night shifts: 8pm - 8am.
  • 24, 36 or 48 hours per week, including weekends (bank opportunities also available).
  • 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays (pro rata for part-time contracts).
