Job summary

Pottersway Care Home in Church Lawton, near Alsager, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to deliver high quality, clinically led care across residential, dementia, nursing and respite services for 60 residents.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medications and monitor health changes. Leading shifts, you will support the care team, make clinical decisions and ensure accurate documentation, dignity and wellbeing for residents.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with active NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical judgement and decisiveness in patient care.
• Ability to lead shifts and support a team.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in a care home is beneficial but not mandatory.

Job description

Our new, luxury care home is nestled in the charming village of Church Lawton, near Alsager.

We provide exceptional standards of Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite Care for 60-residents.

Registered Nurse RGN or RMN Contract £22.36 per hour Contracted to 36 hours per week Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Ongoing training, clinical updates and funded development, with clear and supported progression into Senior, Clinical Lead and Management roles, within a well led, professional environment where your skills are recognised and developed.

Role Overview

As Registered Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high quality, clinically led care while taking responsibility for maintaining safe, effective and person centred practice across your shift.

This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, ensuring standards are upheld and care is delivered consistently in line with best practice.

You will assess needs, develop and review care plans, administer medication and monitor changes in physical and mental health.

Leading shifts, you will support and guide the care team, make informed clinical decisions and respond promptly to changing needs, ensuring continuity and quality of care at all times.

Working closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals, you will use your judgement and experience to maintain high standards, ensure accurate documentation and contribute to a well organised, professional environment where dignity, independence and wellbeing are always prioritised.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

What We Are Looking For

• Registered Nurse RGN or RMN with an active NMC PIN
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making skills
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, however we welcome nurses from a range of backgrounds who are keen to develop within this environment
