• Patient Monitoring: Assess patients before, during, and after treatment, monitor for adverse reactions, and act quickly if complications arise.
• Care Planning: Undertake the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of individualised patient care.
• Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Working: Collaborate with doctors, pharmacists, and neurology specialist nurses to support patient pathways and safe discharges.
• Unit Management: Take charge of the shift or manage day-to-day operations in the absence of a Band 7 nurse, supporting junior staff and learners.
• Research and Development: Participate in emerging neurological treatments and willingness to gain competency and administer any new treatments.

Registered Nurse - Neurology Day Case Unit

Clinical Infusions: Deliver expert care for patients receiving specialist treatments and disease-modifying therapies (such as IVIG, Ocrelizumab, Rituximab, and Natalizumab and SACT ). Administration of SACT infusions is an essential , if not competent, willingness to partake in competency is essential to maintain the role Patient Monitoring: Assess patients before, during, and after treatment, monitor for adverse reactions, and act quickly if complications arise. Care Planning: Undertake the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of individualised patient care. Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Working: Collaborate closely with doctors, pharmacists, and neurology specialist nurses to support patient pathways and safe discharges. Unit Management: Take charge of the shift or manage day-to-day operations in the absence of a Band 7 nurse, supporting junior staff and learners.
