Job summary

ESNEFT is recruiting a Band 5 Registered Nurse for the Medicine Division (MACNEE) at Colchester Hospital in Colchester. The post is permanent, full- or part-time, 37.5 hours per week with a shift pattern covering 24/7.

You will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, develop your clinical skills across a broad range of medical specialties, and work within a supportive multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
• Teaching and Assessing qualification or willingness to undertake
• Evidence of continuing professional development

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Deliver safe, effective and compassionate nursing care.
• Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team.
• Recognise and respond appropriately to deteriorating patients.
• Contribute to discharge planning and patient flow.
• Support patients and families through complex and often challenging healthcare journeys.
• Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records.
• Participate in audit, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Support and supervise students, apprentices and junior colleagues as appropriate.
• Act as a professional role model and advocate for high standards of care.
