Job description

Mary Ward is looking for an experienced nurse that may like a change of speciality, someone with a minimum of two years acute medical, ITU or Emergency Department experience within a NHS hospital. You will need to be enthusiastic, self-motivated and welcome a challenge. Unfortunately, we cannot consider newly qualified nurses on this occasion, due to our current skills mix and the support we could offer.

We work closely with ED, AMU and ITU to facilitate the needs of respiratory patients getting them to the right team to continue their care. This role differs from day to day and we also have a lot of palliative patients who we build relationships with, alongside our regular patients and their families.

Full training will be given with a 4 week induction where you will shadow another Band 5 nurse. It is essential you have a "can do" attitude and a willingness to learn.

To deliver a high standard of nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or medical treatment. The post holders will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, and implementation and evaluation of the programme of the care. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of nursing care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust.

It doesn’t matter what role you do, whether it is patient facing or not, we are all working in the same way with our values at the core.
